Questions worth asking first
If something is not answered here, it is because the rule has not been confirmed yet. Those are published before paid services become available.
Yes. Every evaluation account and every funded account is a simulated environment on cTrader. You are trading simulated balances, not a live brokerage account.
No. No real firm capital and no client money is placed in live markets. Rewards are performance-based and paid under the program rules, not returns from live trading.
No. Rewards depend on meeting the published objectives, staying within the risk rules and passing account review. Most participants do not complete an evaluation or become eligible for a reward.
There are four evaluation paths plus a dedicated crypto plan. One-phase has a single 10% target. Two-phase splits it into 10% then 5% with a static limit. Three-phase uses three 5% steps and has no daily loss limit. The instant simulated account has no target at all. The crypto plan is a separate, market-specific program. The comparison table above lists every rule side by side.
On the one-phase program the daily loss limit is measured on equity, based on the prior day's balance. The limit is 5% on one-phase and instant, 4% on two-phase, a ±3% cap on crypto, and there is no daily loss limit on three-phase.
It depends on the program. Two-phase (8%), three-phase (5%) and crypto (6% or 9%) use a static limit that does not move. One-phase (6%) and instant (8%) use a trailing limit that locks at the starting balance.
No. There is no time limit and no minimum trading day requirement on any program. The only activity requirement is placing at least one trade every 30 days.
Positions close on Friday at 3:45pm unless the Hold Over Weekend add-on is purchased for that account, which adds 10% to that account's one-time evaluation price. Only crypto instruments may be held over the weekend.
Breaching the daily loss limit, breaching the maximum loss limit, or failing the 30-day inactivity rule ends the account.
